no you can do it yourself. when you take the tank loose just prop it up with a 2x4 or something. you will see the injectors once you prop up the tank. dont worry u dont have to drain any lines. the bottom injectors are under the rubber flap. make sure u plug the power commander plugs into those. start with #1 cylinder and work you way across. the throttle positioning cable is a little tricky because of the tight fit behind the frame. its on the left side beside the trottle body. i would go ahead and download the accelerator pump mod on to your PCIII when u download ur map. go to the home page on the power commander website and click on downloads and you will see it near the bottom. there is a recomended setting for street use and its 90% sensitivty 15% fuel increase and 20 engine revolutions. im gonna start out with this setting and play around with it until i find out what my bike likes. good luck

My first post... lol..

Anyways, was browsing through pages, and saw this. I also recently purchased jardine dual outlet slip on with black carbonfiber and installed it. On a 07 1000rr. Definately some choice words came out on install. Haha. Mine rattles at idle. Anyone elses? Rattles in the right side outlet hole. Only on idle. Stops once any revs are applied. Other than that, it's.... ok. Haha. Love the look, not so much sound. But I'm used to louder bikes I guess, this one is quieter than any other I have had. Everyone else tells me it sounds good tho, so I guess it's good. haha.

Check to make sure its not rubbing anywere , it also could be the plastic heat shield around the top by the tail light. I had to trim mine but never had any rattles. If its the pipe/can itself i'd call jardine for a replacement

Def in the pipe. The right exit hole. If I start it, let it idle, it's rattling. Nothing notorious or anything, but it's there. Cant even hear it with helmet on. If I touch that inner ring, rattle stops. I may call Jardine and get it replaced. May just live with it. lol.

Stuffed a tiny spacer in there. No more rattle. And you cant even see the spacer. So small and hidden not even sure I could get it out if I wanted. lol
