Default Help rpm gauge not working!

My rpm gauge does not work for some reason. When you turn the bike on the needle goes to the top then back down like an initial startup but while you drive it doesnt move it stays on zero. Please if anyone can give me some kind of advice i have checked all the plugs off the gauge cluster everything is connected just fine i dunno what it could be i also checked all my fuses.

Thanks for all the help

The only thing I can think of is the rpm sensor in the motor. The reason I think this is because the gauge obviously functions in that the needle move upon startup. I'm sure someone else with more knowledge can better help you but that is my best guess.

^^I agree with DBEAU, and FYI, it's called a tachometer. Just so you know.

It is a LED. They shouldn't burn out so, check connections going to gauges and check for pinched wires near the gauges.
