Default Paddock Stands

Hi folks,

I have asked my son to get me some paddock stands for Christmas and birthday, only 24 days between them and I want a headstock paddock stand for the front.

Does anyone off you kindly people know what size pin is required for our headstock and can anyone recommend a decent well priced make of paddock stands.

There is no rush due to me being on the rig for Christmas and New Year but he wants to get them before I get home.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure about the 1kf, but the 600f has a 24mm. Problem is I couldn't find 24mm pins at a decent price. What I did was use a 17mm socket, which had 24mm OD and a 17mm pin. I just pop the socket on the pin and then use the lift. Stability isn't compromised whatsoever.

Just bent and broke my pin doing this only the socket was 23mm OD. Same for the triumph, seems to be the most common size. Someone with a 1kf will probly verify this shortly.

Getting a new pin done from solid axel. Most stands sold here comes with a fistful of pieces of metal pipes that you put on top of each other to increase the pin diameter. It's pretty stable that way, I just happened to lose the fittings so I tried ghettoing my way around it

Interesting. I've used it for a while now, lots of cycles and never broke. But now that I've said that...

i borrowed one with a 22 pin, fitted ok in my 99f1000 to do the fork seals, it was a made up pin of a lathe though, as the fella lent me it, had a F said it was wedged on the front fairing with the standard one. maybe made the difference. took a wee bit of a help to get it up on, but gave me excellent clearance for the forks to be stripped.
