Pick a spot in PCH. What kind of views are you looking for. I like H33 through Ojai.

Dude, this is So Cal. All roads along PCH have great views. Especially in Newport in the OC.

H33 to Ojai is good, and from there you can take H150 west and there are some good views of the lake up there.

H23 north of PCH is a nice ride... very tight and twisty... but has a couple spots with very nice views of rural hillsides. If you're lucky and there's just a touch of fog coming in off the sea, it's very picturesque.

The top of Stunt Road (south of the San Fernando Valley just off Mulholland Hwy) used to be a great spot, because from there you could see almost the whole SFV, and if you turned around you could see out to the ocean the other way... but it got too popular for street racers so they made it a no parking zone and they patrol it regularly. But you can still go up there and try your luck. Street racers don't go up there that much anymore because of the cop crack-down.

Lake Hughes area has some great roads... (Lake Hughes road itself is crap, dirt everywhere and shoddy pavement) My favorite route up there is to take Bouquet Canyon up to Spunky Canyon. There are some great sights up there. It's the area they used to run Rim of the World in.

I learned most of these roads in a car, but they're great on a bike, too!

This is true, but I think it's no parking at night...like after 6 pm. I've gone up there on weekday mornings and there's still hikers and those crazy guys who ride their bicycles up and down the canyons and once in a whlie there's a few bikers up there too. It's still neat to cruise Mullholland to that spot past the Rock Store...

since I've finally gotten my bike fixed, maybe I'll be heading out there next week

Take Kanan Rd. south from 101 to Latigo canyon. (Latigo is a left turn)Very twisty and runs all the way to the beach. Beautiful view of the ocean from the hills. Not much traffic but has some residential areas so be careful.
