Default Track Helmet

OK so had a bit of a bidget starting the summer out and really needed a new helmet so i bought a random 80 dollar DOT one. NOW that im back in the budget and got some money i wanna get myself a nice new shiny one, specifically more for track riding.

So i wanted to take some sugestions.

I had my eye on a few within various price ranges:

Shoei rf-1100
and
Bell Rs-1
(This price range is a bit high for the budget but with good reviews ill certainly consider it cause i really like the rs-1)

Lower down the list
Scorpion EXO 700/750
and
Joe Rocket RKT Prime

lowest

Joe Rocket RKT prime looks like a solid helmet for the price
and
Bell Vortex(good helmet but hesitant one this one though for track use unless told otherwise)

Looking to hear what other ride with and how they feel about em. Really wanna spend the money and get ahelemt i can feel confident in but also wanna trrry and not spend 600+ for a helmet.

Thanks

Tator

I ride with a HJC cs-R1!!!
Has DOT rating, good crash impact!
Comfortable...
Has locking shield!

And doesn't cost 400 bucks to replace after you go down or drop it!!
Helmets are important but mine works just as well as your $400 icon for a 1/4th the price

Well that's up to you and they make different sizes. And snell rating is for a high speed crash if you hit something your screwed. Just my opinion and I can't afford 400-600 for a new helmet everytime I crash or drop it.

Get the best helmet you can afford. Your top-tier helmets will typically have better construction w/ lighter weight materials. Lighter weight = longer endurance.

I recommend trying on as many helmets as you can. Different brands/types will fit differently on your head. Example; while Shoei's & Shark fit my head shape very well, Arai's don't, neither do Suomi's, etc. Try 'em on & check for uncomfortable pressure-points, test features, & get an overall feel.

Have fun helmet shopping!
