Are most people curtious and let you pass if they can see you want to or are there a bunch of ding dongs that think they need to be in the lead?

That was really cool. I wish I still live in Oregon. How much did it cost to run and how long do you get to ride for?

You can't see behind you so you don't know when somebody is about to pass. The golden rule of riding on the track is HOLD YOUR LINE!!, meaning don't swerve around. A couple of times I came up on a slower guy while we were going into turn 1 (at the end of the long straight) and they unexpectedly moved over like 10 feet to the left and I almost took them out. Big no no.

It costs anywhere from $180-$220 just to get on the track, then figure on $100 wear on the tires and another $50 for gas and oil. If you crash the expenses get REALLY big! And you need full track gear in good shape- leathers, back protector, boots, helmet and gloves.

This track day there were 3 groups- fast, intermediate (my group), and beginner. Each group gets 20 minutes per hour and there were 6 sessions. Sometimes they only have 2 groups at 30 minutes per hour each.

That sounds awesome. I just wish I could afford to do that.
