Ya - I dropped off the face of the earth for a bit... been trying to scrounge up extra work to pay for my latest addiction. Good to see the familiar faces - have you managed much track time this year?

For the purposes of this thread - I will have to snap a picture of my current tire collection some day. For what it is worth, most track day riders will do just fine on street rubber.

Which configeration do they run?

I've played it on Forza quite a few times (one of my strange tools for practicing memorizing race tracks) and love that run through the esses.

No tracktime this year after I went to California Superbike School in March. I had 2 days at the Streets of Willow. Afterwards, my bike was in the shop for "cosmetic repairs" (LOL), while I focused on flight school.

How'd flight school go?

Cosmetic repairs? Kinda like this?

I insisted in the pit that everyone try it... much cooler on hot days (Photo caught me mid downshift, which is also why the front is down)

Note the lack of windscreen. I tucked the front and that broke the screen... no damage to anything else - frame sliders slid on the pavement smoothly.

Man, I thought you just had on a bug-screen or something

When did you get the F4? I don't recall you having that.

Quite awhile ago... but I've finally put it back on the track where it belongs. That's left a hole in my stable for touring though.

This years mileage will drop from >10k miles to ~1000 of which a big chunk has been track. Hoping to fix that all with a long ride after the last track day in Sept. Scary how fast that is coming.

In follow-up to this thread I thought this post was pretty interesting.

Thanks for that thread Jeremy! I'm going to up my pressures for track. I have felt that sloppy feeling in the front on the 1st few corners of a session. I don't have any of the issued the poster mentioned with tearing, but I suppose I'm just not fast enough (LOL) either.

I wish Michelin would provide some literature on these tires, but I guess it's a liability issue.
