Default STT and Mid Ohio track days

Since Mid Ohio and Sportbike Track Time have parted company, it leaves me with little choice of trackdays that are somewhat nearby. The STT trackdays closest to me seem to be either Putman Park or Grattan. Anyone have any input on how well they like these two venues? I've read where a few don't like Putnam that well and after looking at their track map, I'm assuming it's because the track isn't very technical. Grattan looks very promising, but it's the farthest away of the two. Hopefully, Bluegrass in Sparta, Ky will get things worked out soon and STT will finally start having trackdays there. It's about the same distance from me as Mid Ohio and an easier drive since it's all interstate from here to there. Bluegrass looks to be a trackday heaven. Just about every type of turn you can think of, lots of elevation change, plus a 3200 ft. straight. Looks technical, challenging, and fun.

As for Mid Ohio.....they still have trackdays there, but they've hired their own instructors to replace STT. After visiting their website, it seems Mid Ohio is still using similar rules and formats as when they had STT. Any input on trackdays at Mid Ohio with the new instructors? Likes, dislikes, no difference, etc?

Putnam is a great track. I've only done Putnam and Barber so my experience all around is limited. It's not nearly as technical as Barber but it has it's own perks.

I wouldn't hold my breath for bluegrass. It would be nice but until it's finished I wouldn't even consider it an option.

NESBA has 1 day scheduled at Mid O. They are a great and the instructors are top notch if you are looking to learn stuff. Nesba hasnt had a date at MidOhio in years and they said it will fill up fast so thats an option to ride there for 1 TD at least. http://www.nesba.com

Mid Ohio has some KTM Race Orange trackdays where they supply new KTM bikes to ride. They may also rent leathers.....contact them and see. http://www.midohio.com/School/Course...nge-Track-Days

NESBA rents leathers, boots, gloves, etc. I would call ahead to reserve them though.
