Default equipment questions

Evening everyone:
So I have been absent from the biking work for a couple years and now that Im back on a 600 RR getting it ready for the track, I ended up selling some equipment last year.
THe first thing I need to get back are some stands, I ended up selling a pair of T-rex, they did the job but were a little flimsey. Right now I have my eye on a set of GPI's they look great for the money: here's a link, anyone have any experience with these? gonna go with the factory blemish I think to save some dinero.

SALE -FACTORY BLEMISH - GP Pro Series Race Stand Set - Detailed item view - GPI Industries Inc - Motorcycle Sportbike Race Stands, Chocks, Swingarm Spools and Accessories

My second question is what is everybody rolling on these days, my rubber of choice was the diablo corsa III (which they stopped making?), right now pirelli does not really make an equivalent (as least I think so), the super corsa's while they seem awesome are a little expensive and I think they recomend tire warmers which are not in my budget.
So Im thinking about the pilot power 2 CT, everything Ive read about these babies screems great tire, just have to watch the pressure or you can get unusal wear.

Guys and Gals: and feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Hi STX,

I don't know about the stands you reference. I use Pit Bull stands. They are strong & reliable.

As for tires, I'm running Dunlop Q2s. Check out various online reviews. There are a few riding schools that are using the Q2s exclusively.

thanks got CBR, yeah I have looked at a few reviews and everybody is raving about this tire, and its cheap......only thing I cannot pinpoint does the front tire have the dual compound as well or just the back?

*****just spoke with a rep from dunlop, there is not a dual cmp in the front, the rep spoke with one of the engineers and they said
that they tested with dual cmp but there ws no differenct in the performence on the front either way*****

Just wanted to let everyone know, got my GPI stands, these things are a great deal, heavy, well made, sturdy, the front stand is made so I can attack the triple tree mount down the road if I so please, very happy with these.....as far as the factory blemish the only thing I could tell is the company stickers were not on perfect, had some bubbles.

now waiting on my Q2's!

For the 600rr, I’ve been running Michelin 2CTs at the track. It’s a good street/track tire. Good grip and a little more predictable in a corner exit slide than the regular Pilot Powers.

For the F2 I got Power Race. When I needed tires at the track last season that was all they had in stock that would fit the F2. My girlfriend rides that bike on track days and she loves those tires. Just takes an extra half lap to warm them up before they really stick well.
