Lol, well not everyone is sponsored! This is true, but I think a lot of times its about being comfortable and being able to move around on the bike. We're out there sometimes for hours practicing and la lot of times we aren't going above 15-20mph unless we're working on endos.

I'm actually really flexible with my Icon Boots. sneakers no doubt would have more flexibility but I don't want to see what happens if you lay it down wrong

Preference for me. I wear jeans, t-shirt, ICON vest, helmet and gloves and skater shoes (thick). But I never did high speed stuff, always slow, technical stuff in the parking lot so when you fall off it's like falling off of a bicycle. You push the motorcycle away from you and just tuck and roll. When I was first learning though I wore my leather jacket.
