True stunters tell me!
I have a 2003 954, i bought it used with 13k on it in 2007. I do wheelies all the time, every time I ride I do at least one. (throttle first gear or second, clutch second and clutch+bounce third for highway wheelies) End of 2009 summer, my trans started slipping. I found a spare motor with problems and swapped the trans out. In Feb of 2010, I started hearing a clicking while headed home. Let a guy listen to it and told a couple other bike mechanics and they say third rod and/or piston or crank. One guy said "that year honda's do that, because your draining the engine of oil when you ride a wheelie for long time". Now I have seen a lot of guys stunting on 929's and 954's, am I killing my bike or is it just bad luck. Anyone stunting one of these or riding a lot of wheelies, please let me know if you've had this problem. Feel free to email me at rpm_rippa@yahoo.com too, i check that more than I get on here. I also believe i heard of guys adding or changing the oil suction tubing. PLEASE, ANYONE WITH INFO PLEASE RESPOND.

Sounds like your timing chain tensioner to me, my 900 does it once in a while. A knocking is a piston or rod bearing and a clicking is the clutch basket or chain tensioner on the timing chain. Hard to say unless I listen to it. I stunt my 900 more then my 600 and with hondas no problem, I just run 1/2 quart oil higher. Johnnyh
