I want to put new sprockets on my 97 600 F3. I am thinking -1/+2 or 3. My questions are. Current revs in 6th @ 65mph approx. 5k, what would they be with this set up? Also will it WOT in 2nd then? Who will sell the 2 sprockets with a chain, is this what you get with the acceleration kit? Should I go to a 530 set up? 530 would last longer. I am not a stunter but enjoy doing a few wheelies & would like a little more oomph down low...Any suggestions are welcome...Thanks

 

i ran a 520 kit 14/45 which is -1/+2 on the f2 i believe. I cant remember exactly the rpm in 6th gear at 65mph but i would say around 6500. The thing i didnt like about having the 14 tooth up front is the chain rubbed on the wear block a little much i thought. I would just put a 48 on the rear with the stock front if you want basically the same ratio.

 

Well I ordered new sprockets & chain today. Yesterday on my way to work I stripped a couple teeth off my rear sprocket. It was a Vortex 520 43T aluminum. I looked around other forums & online & decided to go with a -1,+2 525 steel (Sunsprockets). I hope I dont have any issues like the one mentioned above..Thanks
