I don't know about anywhere else but around here they sand heavily in the winter because of snow and ice. So it's always a good idea to ride your normal areas slow and check the corners for gravel during spring riding. That's how I went down was riding through a corner late at night that had a lot of gravel left over from the winter.

Really appreciate the post. I just bought my first bike, man does it feel good! Been wanting one for awhile. I had never even driven one before and on the day i brought it home, i learned about cold tires. All of those things listed makes me think about things a little bit more when i jump on my bike as the weather gets better. Thanks friends.
