I used to run ambulance as an EMT, I got a call once for a deer vs motorcycle. Guy told me he was going about 85 at around 9pm. He said the deer jumped out, and he didn't see it until the last second. Guy said he just ducked down on the tank and behind the windscreen and held on. Road was a slow left hand sweeper, so he ran out of road, by the time it was all said and done. He went down and had mostly just road rash, was fine otherwise. He said even if he had more time when the deer jumped out, he would have done the same, just ducked and kept it as straight as possible.
