Default Honda Hornet 919 handle bars

Hello everyone. I know the Hornet does not count as a CBR but this is the only forums where I can get really good help. I am thinking of getting a 919 because for some reason I am liking the street fighter look. My question is would it be possible to put clubman handle bars on it? like a cafe racer? if it is possible would it be hard? thank you all.

This is the bike I am looking at. Lame flame paint job though. 2002 Honda 919

i had a 919. I put some easton bars on it. Are you wanting to put on clip ons or are going to sit upright

you're talking about true clubman bars? like these Amazon.com: Bikemaster Clubman Handlebar - Clubman/Chrome: Automotive ?

either way. you can run any bars you want. clip-ons, clubman bars, more aggressive dirty bars, etc. you may have to adjust the throttle cables and control switch wires for length and replace the brake lines if they don't reach....

...but i don't think you'll have to tho with clubman bars. i think they are going just right. i bought a clubman bar for my xs650 project, and nothing needed adjusting on them - which is the same type of swap you'll have to do.

ya, you do have to drill into the bar for the position keeper thingie - that lil dowel pin. other than that though, you should be good to go.
