I was under the impression they changed the diameter on later models but good if they aint. I need a new set after the front blew out a while back and got the chance of some later model bars cheep and wanted to make sure they would fit before I bought them. I'm happy with the possition just need something to hold on to. Thanks for the heads up bud

Hey, I have a related question on a 93 CBRF. I noticed after a long ride that the back of my palms were sore(no biggie) on the outside of each. Also that my elbows are tucked in past my hand position. I also believe the move would assist in low speed manuervering. I figured an easy fix would be to adjust the bars outward. Dont need a lot,but once I started the bars are notched to the top of the fork.I dont want to grind the **** off without knowing if the clamps will hold. Any tried and true suggestions?

Kinda. When I first got my bike and before I put a set of adjustable bars on, I wanted more rise so I just moved the bars up on the forks about 3/4 inch or so so the **** weren't engaged. I rode around like this for a month or so with no problems. Just make sure the bars clamps are torqued down. Further, the adjustable bars that I put on the bike don't have ****, and I've been running around with them for about 7 years now, again with no problems.

Cool PacoJoseph and thanx for the tip. I just want to rotate them outward(toward the front of the bike) and if they will hold without the **** on them, the small adjustment I think I need will work. getting too bad to ride(especially in the mountains - they use sand) so I'll give it a try.
Thanx
