Default Handle bars - Again

I never did find the right side clip on I needed so I said screw it and decited to buy new handle bars all together.
On Ebay I was able to find the right clip-on shipped for $80 and@ http://www.kneedraggers.comI could buy a brand new set for $130. So I bought the VORTEX racing clip-ons at kneedraggers so my first question is, has anyone used these? and my second question is when I ordered them they needed to know what diammetertubes I needed and I told them I didn't know? So the guy looked it up in his system and told me they are 41mm. So I was wondering if anyone knows if that is right or not?

Cancel your order, they do not, I repeat, DO NOT fit unless Vortex has redesigned them within the last 9 months. Here's a picture of the version I had with the controls and master cylinder mounted. The way they have it, the clip-on's base doesn't allow enough clearance for the master cylinder. Also, the radial master cylinders (at least the brembos) won't let you run the clip-ons cuz they hit the stock gauges

It was too late to cancel the order so I just decited to to see what they looked like when they came in. Well you were right, they don't fit!! They came via UPS today and I just set them in place to see if what you said was true, and it is. The master cylinder won't event fit properly, and if you made it fit it still would not clear the wind screen! ****ty Design [sm=boosign.gif]

I just bought a used one out of Ohio @ http://www.cycletherapy.comthey say that it will be straight, no bends, but we will see [&:]This clip-on is the same one I originally saw on ebay and thought they were crazy, no way was I going to spend $80 bucks on 1 used clip-on. So I shopped around a little and found the Vortex set for $130, thought it was a great deal, brand new, shinny silver, and for only 50 bucks more I get both sides, what a steal! Well as luck would have I madea total *** out of myself, and ended up spending more money in shipping, and restocking fees, than if i would have gone with the orginal equipment the first time. So let this be a lesson to all

Oh well live and learn!
