Fitted some nice anodised countersunk washers for the tail mounts, yes I know they can't be seen with the seat on but I know they are there

Awesome!
Keep it up and keep posting your progress. I feel like I have learned a lot in just those two posts of pictures. You are a big inspiration. I'd be interested in following your other projects if you have any links to those.

One questions is how did you get the armature out of the tail after welding it? Or did you weld the top and bottom and then remove the armature and weld the two pieces together?

I didn't even notice that question among the eye candy. I'm 100% with cgrace986 POLISHED!!!!! I think paint would be a total disrespect to your great craftsmanship on all those pieces.

On a side note I noticed this on The Kneeslider today and it reminded me of your other build.

wow, what an inspiration! your builds are just... wow man. would you mind telling me what you do for a living? im hoping that it has something to do in the automotive/body work field. because if those skills you have are just a hobby i would be awestruck.

davideokills, welded the top and bottom halves together, removed ply pattern then welded on the front piece.

trippmann, I do property maintenance, this is my first attempt at bodywork in sheet alloy.

Got the tank base finished with air box and battery cut out's ready for welding
