thats a triumph, _z_ has a 929

and i'm really lookin' forward to see what you do with the tank. what are you doin for the airbox? just pullin' the snorkels off? or are you going to try and re-route an air source.

I will most likey pull the nozzles off, and when i fiberglass the tank add some plastic screening similiar to this ducati's

since my headlights gonna be real small i should get ALOT of airflow up front

con also the tank im using to fiberglass is a friends stunt tank, so im probably going to try and mount my gauge cluster in it, and repair most of the big dent with alot of bondo haha....

then fiberglass over everything to clean it all up

that's sweet. most of the 929/954 tanks i've seen just block everything off and go for it - which i've always kind of thought that limits the air on intake and probably makes the bike run bad

i thought so but a guy on fireblades covered his completely and i asked it made it run hot and he said no it still runs perfectly fine...

while i dont doubt him ide prefer to keep some sort of opening for air to flow into

hmm... ya, i was thinking of doing that, but switching to a 1krr airbox which takes air in through snorkels on the bottom by the radiator. either way - if you have some mesh vents there, that's going to be killer.

So spent all winter building the perfect street bike, but after it was all said and done I decided that i was tired of my bike looking like every other street bike in town....

so let the build begin

after about 30 min

got me a boat load of parts ordered since i sold the front fairings off my 929rr

parts on order are

50mm clip ons
Driven aluminum Grips
Oberon bar end signals
Aluminum bar end mirrors
Gold/black shorty adj. levers
Bi-xenon hid projector

Currently waiting on transfer of funds for my old pipe, then I will order my new one

I plan on using the stock lower fairings to make a belly pan

and that about it until the end of this riding season, then ill be converting the 05 1000rr tail i have on there now to my new 08 tail with custom subframe

Gonna make my own headlight housing/fairing

will make sure to keep everyone updated
