Hey, thanks a lot for this. I changed my oil today, mostly on my own (the bf gave a lot of guidance, too) but it helped a lot to look at your pics first. I knew what to expect when the plastic came off. Thanks!

Default How To: Change your oil on CBR 600F3

Would this apply to a 2002 F4i - I apologize if this is a stupid question and/or I'm in the wrong section. I new to this forum and just recently inherited the aforementioned motorcycle with 4758K miles (one owner w/ maintenance records). In addition, would you recommend using royal purple oil? I plan on doing my own maintenance. Thanks

Walmart - $17.00 for a full oil change.

nice!

I was told to remove the dipstick/filler screw thingy first for easier drainage...as air goes in, the oil to come out.

has anyone else heard of this?

i personally dont open it up unless i am adding oil or checking it.

This is how I do it on my F2 it relieves preassure and lets the oil come out faster.

I forgot to do this last time I changed my oil and it really didnt seem to make that much of a diff.
