RE: Physical effects of an F1 car on the body
Under braking, accelerating, and of course cornering, F1 drivers are subjected to as many as 7-9 G's.
At this amount of force, you, I, 95% of people would black out. Yet Micheal Schumacher managed to stay conscious and win 7 WDC's.
F1 is one of the most exciting sports on the planet, if you understand what's going on. Yypical "Joe Blow" doesn't...and so we get NASCAR.

I love how everyone bashes Nascar wthout ever being in a stock car ... its awesome ..... most of the people couldnt handle that either .....Shows incompetence.

European racing enthusiasts.
I can't believe there are 150 shows on Speed channel about NASCAR...guys in family sedans running in circles...
with fake caution flags thrown to bunch the field up should a guy actually get too far ahead...meaning using his talent and car to OMG...
outrace and outdrive the others.
Trust me, I have spent years reading, watching and dissecting F1 and NASCAR and the differences.
No "ignorance"...here.

Totally agree. Ive been watching f1/indy/nascar all my life and they are not close to being in the same class. Meaning f1 vs nascar. I live in charlotte the home of nascar and you should see are sports pages. Nascar can be on THE front page not sports. Yet you will get 0 coverage of f1 let alone any bike/moto gp ink. I mean 0! Thanks for lap top.
