Well last night I took my rim stripes off of my "To-Do List" and this morning I went out and cleaned it up quick and snapped some pics. Its not as clean as it could be, but its not a show bike, it gets ridden and has the bug guts on it to prove it LOL. Let me know if you like them or not. BTW I also threw on my CBRFORUM.COM sticker that I got yesturday. And sorry for the big pics in advance. I still have a few things left to do like APE CCT, steering stabalizer probably GPR, PCIII, and some more but my brain isn't working today.

Very nice bike. I like the rim stripes!! Quick question, are those the 1/4" or 1/8" rim stripes? Maybe where you got them from too, i'm thinking about buying some myself. Anyways, looks good!!

 

Looks great... I'm staying away from the rim tape only because I'd screw it up.

 

Man, its so easy plus your bike would look fu**ing good with some blue rim stripes to match the tribal pinstriping. Did you do the pinstriping on your tribal? If you did that the wheels will be easy, I promise. I put it off for like 2 months because I thought it was going to be really hard. I just wiped my wheel lips down with some rubbing alcohol and went inch by inch around the wheel. Mine aren't perfect but you can't really tell at all. Everyone that has seen it likes them alot so they are going to stay for now. I was thinking next winter when I repaint my bike I might have them do a pinstripe around my wheels but I'll have to see.

The stripes themselves are 1/4, I was going to get the 1/8, but wanted them to be more noticable so I got the 1/4 I have also heard of them in 5/16 but not really common. I got them on ebay for $10 from racerboi07, they aren't the precurved ones, but they came out pretty good. I wanted them to be a little straighter, but like I said before you can't really notice it.

LOL no plate light, I try not to get pulled over but if I do it probably won't be a problem, most cops are pretty cool with bikers around here so I guess I'll see. I really haven't ridden at night too much yet but I'm going to start riding back and forth to work in the next few weeks. If I do get hasseled I'll be sure to tell you guys about it .

Looks good. I just did mine about a week ago. I had a little trouble getting the spacing just right all the way around but it came out ok. There are a few tiny places it got off but you really can't see. Nice looking bike. It is amazing how that little bit of rim tape can really set the bike off.

 

Thanks, to be honest mine aren't straight at all, but you can't hardly tell from 5 feet so I'm not worried about it. Plus all I have heard were compliments about them so they are going to stay. Thanks again guys.

i know its been said, but i'll add +1 to the positive responses. it looks really good man, i've been considering that for my red/white F4i too. maybe i'll add that to my mod list for this season.
