Interesting motorcycle pictures
Sweet... There`s just something about that sideways V that makes me tick... Also good for picking some of the guys at Triumphrat, they seem to have an unexplained hatred for these things (and the CX)...
I hear you. They're both (Guzzi's and CX's for that matter) very cool. For some reason, it has that same kind of dysfunctional character that the boxer has too. Go ahead and tell me how often I'll burn my pants by slamming my knee into the cylinders - I don't care. It's just cool.
Just out of curiosity I checked from nettimoto how much a decent CX would set me back here, several early '80s machines for 3500EUR. Seemed pretty high for me. What caught my attention was the two 500 factory Turbos that were in the mix, didn't know such things were ever manufactured. Seemed to be packing a whole lot of goodies ahead of their era. As well as a hefty pricetag.
Yeah, early Turbo CX 500's . Probably an interesting bike to own from a collector point of view.
Maybe, not so much fun from a riding point of view,
If you can afford one , that you only ride on Thursday nights, to the local club meeting; absolutely wonderful collector bike that will no doubt appreciate over time.

I've got a college friend who picked up one - pristine and stock - all for $1000. A really old guy owned it and wanted it out of his garage! I couldn't believe how good his luck was! He's slowly started to cafe it here and there (cafe bars, small gauges, etc).
I had no idea about a CX500 turbo either. Pretty cool.

Interesting. Seems like manufacturers were trying to push limits that era... I saw that fast forward bike posted awhile back, in a composite forum. Couldn't fund any info on it though. I love the looks of it.
