Kawasaki ‘Kamikaze’ cafe racer

Kawasaki 'Kamikaze' cafe racer | Bike EXIF

"The frame is from a Kawasaki H1, one of the quickest production machines of the 1970s. Except Tobias has shoehorned in an even more potent motor: the 748cc two-stroke mill from the Kawasaki H2, a bike that Motorcycle Classics described as 'the motorcycling equivalent of the Sex Pistols.' ”

They called them "widow makers". Seriously explosive power bands. Very very cool motorcycle

That's a Panigale. Check out the rims - true tubeless spoked rims!

...What is holding this thing together, I don`t see a frame at all?!

Interesting front end.

EDIT: found one from the left side, STILL can`t see where the rear swing attaches to...

The engine is holding it together. It's a stressed member bike. It attaches to the rear of the motor

Similar to a Britten (or a panigale)

The shock is probably under the motor covered up by the belly pan.

Live old, see new things etc... another thing learnt so not a day wasted...

Never heard of a Britten before... so that makes two things...

Oh man, for the early 90's that thing was space-age. VERY cool motorcycle for the times, even more so considering he built them in his shed behind his house.

And, the 929 and 954 are also stressed member bikes, although they have a separate mount that attachers to the frame, engine, and swing arm as well, as opposed to some of those bikes where it literally attaches to the engine and that's all.

It's cool, but for instance, one drawback is that with stressed member bikes, you cannot have a rolling chassis unless you have the engine...

I remember watching a race where the Britten was so dominant it was doing stoppies into the turns and wheelies out of them.
