I got bored today....
So I started shortening and refinishing my exhaust.
I had a little rash from a lowside late last year so I took care of that. I wasn't real big on the polished aluminum look (or the upkeep) So I went with a brushed finish. Here's the result. (the exit end cap isn't in all the way or riveted yet as I still need to install new packing)

If you're worried then wrap the area you are going to cut neatly with a couple of layers of masking tape(I dont worry about this though). Use the thinest cutting disc available for a grinder. I use a high speed(20,000rpm) pneumatic die grinder with a thin cutting disc. Carefully smooth the edge after cutting with some light sand paper and "resin wipe" the edge to seal it. Any high temp epoxy resin will do. Oh, and nice job jp. Looks much better.
