How To: FIx Circuit boards(in this case my tv's)
so my mom droped our older tv and broke the back part of it. tried to turn it on but there was no video just audio. looked inside and saw the board one the tube was cracked so i decide to make a little how to fix this kind of thing.
things u need
soldering iron
solder
flux(not needed but good to have)
wire
multimeter
candle(or glue gun)
here is where u can see where it broke.
so basicly the the points on the board are not connected anymore becouse of the crack. we need to connect them back to gether. so i maped out where they where going and used a red marker to map it on the board. u can tell where they go becouse there is lighter green lines form point to point.
then i got some wire and cut them to size.
so i soldered the wires to the board makeing sure not to connect things that are not suppoed to be connected and i used the multimeter for that
so time for a test. puged it in and steped away in case something goes wrong(expect the unexpected like always) then BOOM success
we have PICTURE!!!
unpluged it then got a candle and put wax on the connections to keep them safe and still. u can use a glue gun if ya want.
so then end result a working tv. u can do the some thing for other boards but the smaller ones get harder.
i also did this to a dvd recorder recently that i bought and it did not work. the board was cracked. fixed it. it saved me 50 bucks.
so what do ya think???
