Default New to bikes and boards!

hello all. i'm new to the boards and new to bike riding. i haven't bought my bike yet, but i will have it by the end of the week. a buddy of mine is selling me his 2001 CBR600 and i can't wait to get it. i don't take my riding class until next month, but that's ok. i'll just mess around with it in my driveway and in my cul de sac if i'm feeling adventurous....lol. anyway, i just wanted to introduce myself here and i'll post a pic of the bike when i get it.

Nice bike man, keep it clean. Good luck on your course and make sure to get some gear. Getting to know your bike in your culdesac is a good idea that way you don't go to the course with no experience at all. Just take it slow. Ride safe, let us know how you did with the course.

take it slow and once again I am going to recommend you to get Keith Code's book called twist of the wrist II, you may learn a lot and prepare yourself until you start riding it.

Welcome to the forum!

i had my first ride today on my bike. it was great! after about 5 mins of being a little wobbly, i got the hang of it. i kept it nice and slow. i didn't even go past 2nd gear...lol. i was in aschool parking lot. a buddy of mine who lives in my subdivision rode it there for me. now since i can stay upright a bit, i will ride through my subdivision to get more comfortable with it.
