As much as i thought id never do it i picked up an 06 750 yesterday. I must say the more bikes i looked at the more and more honda seemed to fall to the back of the pack in terms of options and technology. So far it seems like a great bike. It dives into corners, the power seems very rider friendly and really controllable at the lower rpms, and after 5 minutes of riding it it wasnt nearly as intimidating as i thought itd be coming from a 600, just a lot of fun.

I unfortunately had to sell it just to get rid of the headache that it had turned in to. Had a couple buyers back out on ebay and a couple of scams of craigslist but eventually the one guy came through. I was really looking forward to riding that and having at least a couple of seasons to enjoy with it but thats not how it worked out. This certainly isnt a bad upgrade, i got a great deal on it and i didnt take a huge loss on the 600rr so i guess i cant complain. I did take some of the stuff off my bike before selling it though so ive got some more parts to throw up in the for sale section when i get a chance.

yeah im pumped about it, tomorrows gonna be nice finally so ill be able to get some real seat time in on it and see how she is. i had some great deals that i just missed out on like an 07 zx6 for 2k and a couple nice 05-06 kawi 636's for under 4000 but this wasnt much more than that and i can definitely sell it for more so i took it. I was originally just going to buy a new car for the winter but i didnt get to ride at all this season so i was gonna buy a bike to have for a month or two and then sell or trade for a car since i can easily ride into october/november so this seemed like the best deal. I can get my riding fix in, get my money back and then some hopefully, get a new car, then get a new bike for good in the spring. If i get lucky ill keep this and finance a car which id rather not do but if i can work it out in a way that im happy with then thatd be awesome cuz ive got tons of stuff i want to do to this but im not gonna dump money into it if im selling it.

Ive been having some fun on it the past few days. It definitely feels bigger and heavier than the rr. From what i can remember the rr felt like a toy compared to this, im not sure if thats a good or bad thing. Id like to go back to one for a day since i only rode mine a handful of times and never got a real feel for it. Accidentally picked up the front wheel in 3rd yesterday when i hit a bump as soon as i opened her up which was a bit of a scare but it felt real solid and smooth coming down and made me real feel confident. Never felt like i was gonna lose it even though it was a little shaky of a moment.

So besides the different feel, which im sure ill get used to pretty quick, ive had a blast on it and still seems like an awesome machine. It makes me wonder what the hell a 1000 feels like too. But this is more than enough bike for me for now....and for awhile probably.
