Power to weight a stock 600 sportbike beats out a stock viper. Good enough for me. So in some small percentage of situations, with some cars, that costs 50k or more, my little 600cc sportbike might lose? Who gives a s%^t, it's more than fast enough for me. There is always something faster or better, who cares. The one thing I do find funny is all the bogus youtube videos or cars beating bikes, yah there are cars out there that can do it, but those cars aren't the ones featured in the idiotic youtube videos. There's a decent one on there that features a blown mustang racing a stock 600 on the freeway that shows a good reference of actual speeds. Plus the blower sounds awesome. Check it out....

As for the four wheeled cars handling better in corners than bikes, well.. dur... but lets see them get a knee down in an acura, heh, cornering in bikes is just more "fun". Isn't that why we ride?

I just thought the whole idea of a car beating a bike was a bit unordinary....that's all.
Hello ... McFly?!?!
Sorry biker dudes but the ugly truth is that you can beat 95% of anything off a showroom floor. The other 5% will clean your clock and make you feel stupid and slow.
A bike has a weight advantage when taking off from a standing start. Once you get rolling a high HP car has the advantage.
As far as handling (read: curves) a new 1kRR won't come close to a new Taurus on the skid pad (ya, that sucks donkey ***** but what can ya do?). So if you're playing with a new Taurus on the street use your advantage -- straight line acceleration. Hard brake and corner slow and accelerate on exit. A stock Vette will still eventually reel most of us in and hand us our ***.

And the road we were racing on I know like the back of my hand, I could probably do it with my eyes closed.

But I'll be the first to admit that a bad day on the bike is better than a good day in a cage ...
