2007 600rr Laguna Seca Blue Build
Hello everyone,My name is Matt. I am new to this site and just wanted to post about this 2007 CBR 600RR that my buddy recently purchased. We went to a local dealer that actually sells wrecked insurance bikes. I picked out a Pearl White 600RR that had left side damage. Once we got it home I realized the lower engine case was broken where the side cover bolts on. I took it to a welder and had them fill the holes and lay extra weld that could be shaped and tapped for bolts. After filling the welds flat to seal against the cover and drilling the holes for the tap to create new threads, we installed the cover and changed the oil. It fired right up and thats when the fairing fixing/replacement . . . which led to painting began. We went withsomething a little different and chose the rare Laguna Seca Blue found on the 2004 BMW M3. My buddy Brandon painted it and did an awesome job, I couldn't of hoped for anything better.Anyway, here is a picture of the bike almost finished. He painted the tank skirts but taped the lower section to create a thinning effect around the seat area and give the frame a rounded look. We have more ideas of what were going to do to make the bike a little different. The Muffler was also shortened about 2 inches so it didn't stick out too far, didn't really make much of a difference on the sound and he switched the back of the canister to the front so you can see the logo easier. Not really thinking of anything that will change the performance as its enough bike as it is, just trying to make it a little different. Obviously were still waiting on some parts, but I think once finished its deffinately going to stand out on the road.

yeah were still waiting on the front fairing, we'll have to paint it along with a few other things were going to paint such as chain guard, wheels, and possibly the stator cover with a little design...it'll take some more time but should look good once finished. Were also going to wire up the other headlight as a running light to give ita cleaner look.
