The race weekend is a day away from starting. I am still looking for tickets for a last minute ride up on Sunday to watch the race. May leave my house around 5 am and just go for the day. It is just shy of 300 miles each way, should be fun if I can score the tickets for a good price.

 

The girlfriend and me drove the old cage up to Monterrey for the race. Took the 1 (and 101 when I had to) the entire way up there. Never in my life have I wanted to ride more than that!

The roads going up there were INCREDIBLE. Ocean views with waves crashing over jagged rocks leading up to shear cliffs. The entire time twisting through beautiful mountain roads. Going through awesome forests and then through rolling hills.

Did you ever find those tickets? I ordered mine from laguna seca in january. they ****ed up my tickets tho and put me on turn 4 instead of turn 11.

Did not make it. Guy that was supposed to meet me half way flaked at the last minute. Threw together a last minute GTG at a buddies house with other riders and watched it in his Theatre room with the grill going in the back yard. Not quite there, but the next best thing.
Now I am trying to get thngs together to try and get my fix at Indy.

 

if i would have seen this i might have hit you up. i live in san luis obispo and almost did the same but my buddy bailed. oh well. next year right.
