I JUST got home from a 650+ miles ride, one way. My baby was in OH, and I recently moved to SC. Riding through Southern OH, WV, VA, some of NC...there were some pretty decent roads. However, as soon as I got back in SC, the fun was over. There aren't ANY good roads around here! Nota! My bike didn't give me any problems along the way, thank God. The ONLY thing that I had to do was lube my chain religiously. Riding through some sandy, "dirty" roads, etc., I wanted to make sure that it was lubed/cleaned pretty good.

A couple of years ago, I also took a 450+ miles ride with a couple of guys that I met on here.

I've taken many 100-200+ mile rides. So, where have you guys been? What was it like? Any problems?

I HAVE to suggest stretching during every stop! Even with my 1 piece, having some extra padding it the buttocks, my butt was so freakn' sore when I got back. My wrist/hands get pretty sore, especially my right hand! I wouldn't ever get one of those "cruise control" levers because of the many problems that it could cause. Oh well, I really enjoy taking long trips. I have yet to visit Deals Gap. That's next on my list.
