Iron Butt Trip
I really do consider myself to be a real fan of motorcycle riding. I'm anything short of a Fair Weather Rider, only riding when it's warm and balmy outside. Just a few weeks ago I made a journey that would make most of you cringe and shudder. I rode my 05 600RR from Norfolk, VA to Dallas Tx and was proud to make the frigid trip in roughly 30 hours. The going part wasn't as bad but it was cold as heck. The return trip on the other hand was treacherous. Not only was it cold but it was rainy and windy. Trying to ride 80mph with a 20mph cross wind is just a tad bit on the scary side, but I endured until I got to Jackson Mississippi and was forced to stop due to the sheets of rain. To make a long story short, the return trip took far longer than going. I left on a Saturday and got back in to VA Monday morning just in time to get off my bike, into my truck and make way through traffic to get to work. I survived a 1,348 mile journey and plan on doing it again when it warmer so I can actually enjoy the ride. Not only that I found some killer pipes down there that I must have. For all of you out there wanting to take a real road trip...Just hit me up I'm all for some highway riding.
Holla at me, my crew is always up for road trips. south-eastern ohio to anywhere in the US or canada. we're planning a trip to Phoenix AZ sometime this summer or next. will make detours to pick up more riders if need be.
