Ken : Hotels will be a complete barstud to try and book. Camping is a great idea "if"
you like the climate there which is 50/50 as to whether it will be warm and dry or
damp and shyte. One good thing to consider is maybe renting a small house or something.
I'm planning on taking the ferry out of Dublin
( I can arrange safe passage for you to do this also LOL)

I'm thinking of grabbing a bike in Dublin - there's a few bike "hire" places
that have a few decent bikes - but we'll see.

Going to have to start getting this nailed down pretty soon for 2014

Just came across this up your way Ken "Phillip McCallen Motorcycles"

Agree totally Sprock. Mr SB and I would be very interested in house sharing if that is in the offing. Not sure we will hire a bike, but will probably just steal yours when yoiu're not looking Make sure you get something good!

Cheers, SB

philip is the man, he was offering me good,, in fact excellent money for the bird.
bit of a haul to hire a bike, but its like 10 euro up to town on the bus, and i could drop you off to him, and Sebby could add his name on the insurance for a fee(get the arm in) lol
it's going to increase it a mile in costs taking bikes.
and just found out that i'v a friend working in city air port,, but unfortunately can't discount manx flights. i'd recon last 5 dayd of race week would be enough,, what ya think, too much taking in 2 weeks on something so small. it'll be lapped out.

8 man tent for £60 and bin it eh!! but the house sharing is a good idea, but you would have to rent the full fortnight, ya know them islanders,, funny air and all that. lol

I reckon we could do a week on the island (race week ). And hiring a house is IMHO the best way. If we get 10 people or more, it becomes a cheap method of accommodation. We used to do that at Phillip Island for the GP and SBK each year.

Cheers, SB

rang 3 main hotels in douglas today, booked out for 5 years plus. and pre paid

Rates | Rotherham House
will ring these tomorrow.

looks like we need someone to take deposits, (paypal) and get the first available thing with a roof and water in it,, and shut up and putup..
or we're in tents.
got to get something reliable too, if some wee house man sold up, we're all out of pockets.
why is it so bloomin difficult for this wee race. gawd!

seriously,,
see pic.""""!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats p.p.s.

per couple ,, thats £280 per room x 7 nights, saturday to saturday,

£1960 for 31st may 14 to 7th june 14,
plus bike £188 and passenger e/w so thats 376 and ya might not be able to get off the island to the 9th the way the ferry is working at the minute, so thats another week to pay, as its all prepay per week.
i don't want to sleep in a hedge after 7 nights in a hotel getting shafted.

and i don't have 2k handy to book now. and if there is 'say' 6 of us going thats 6k for 3 rooms for a week.

anyone any ideas?? because i'v never been violated before, at least not while so sober.

sprock, i told you last night what it was costing for italy,,

i think we may change this to iom, norn-iron week tour
and hire out and tour the north

fekin sickening.

owes who a favour and call it in if possible !

Don't forget find out from McCallen about the bike ? Unless of course you
