The IOMTT as a race has not been my favorite but all the bikes & atmosphere looks good on TV.

I didnt realise a CBR forum meet up was planned BUT now i do AND with lots of time to save & plan COUNT ME IN.

I'll be coming from Durham area if anyone wants to meet up on the way.

Any idea of dates ???

Funny was just watching Closer to the Edge and was textin' with KENG this evenin'

We're going to have to get cracking on this by the spring to make some bookings
a year ahead imo

Of course we'll see how committed we all are soon enough eh

Me and Ken will be rowing a boat over if we leave it too late and there's fair chance
that ship might get scuttled (scuttered ) and never make it to port either

We'll have to use Ken's great friendship with Guy Martin to get us some comp's !

Looking forward to this - be great to get a good sized crew on the island for it !

All bike projects and purchases go on hold next year to budget for the trip !

Tim thanks for offering the insider scoop - we'll have plenty of ?'s I reckon

i'm starting hard arrangements end of march, what if i change bike, do i get charged more to change registration on documents ?
i hear there are church halls and fire stations rec rooms, that do shared dig's, also school with all weather pitches for ***'s in campers, and grass for tents, and changing rooms, showers, toilets, rather than getting in trouble pitching up randomly.
need exact dates, copied and saved, from guaranteed site info, can't get this wrong.

i might even build a wee proboards free site, and password it in to get this rolling, and weather we all book our own days and transport, we all need to sort dig's out, so could take a deposit off all doing a group willing to stick it out together, and arrange where we're staying, and put names to bookings and confirmations.

if i'm taking car, then i can take me +2(need room), from ireland side, can split that in costs, but all needing named on booking too.

ya wanna seen the bloody organising my club done for italy.

gimme a few weeks, and i'll get a wee forum rolling and we can all log in and do our bit to share, but it will have to be 3 groups, english side traveling, irish side traveling, and everyone else.

we'll get there.

Provisional dates for the Isle of Man TT 2014: 24rd May 2014 – 6th June 2014

http://www.iomtt.com/TT-2013/The-2013-TT.aspx some stuff

edit,,, based on traveling this year 2013
steam packet site gives approx prices and bookings available (5 mins ago)

565sterling to go, 589 return for car plus driver plus 2 passengers.

bike and rider 188 going + 188 home

for 9 days 2013 and thats return 2 days after race ends, it's all thats left

Default Here's some music to the ears and what to expect !

Since you're taking it, I'm driving your black taxi - so put me down for the drivers seat.!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This Vid kinda captures it all !

Insanely perfect in every way - sounds awesome with a set of Bose headphones

Oh and Ken if it's a CBRForum IOMTT gig - why move the arrangements & arranging of it
somewhere else ?

Think it should be kept right here, maybe with a sub thread for planning, bookings,
arrangements, signups and commitments etc.

cheers manxtim.

i haven't been over since the early 90's.

if there are any ideas for diggs or best way to travel yaa can feed us ideas with , throw them up,

i'm on a blank page,

don't know weather to take bike or car.
gawd the ferry if a rip off

and hiking is a design flaw with my belly. built for beer and more beer.
have to get started on this, just looking release dates for ferry first and confirmed race dates.

ps. and i'm off to Italy a few weeks later, so i'v a lot of brownie points to gather up.

Mrs SB and I are definitely on to this one! What we need to know is are we doing a group booking for accommodation? Or will we tent it?

No car or bike, so not too worried about the old Steam Packet, but need to start getting some hard and fast facts about our CBRF outing

Cheers, SB

maybe thats the way to go too,, fly in and pick a bn'b and all meet up on the same floor.
but the thoughts of being too far from the action, means of transport, taxi about,,
we need some sort or transport.

hey, manxtim, ya got an old motor for hire or a big garden for camping, or whats your position to the track??
we need an insider,, like i said, haven't been in over 20 yrs.

give us some input maun, plans have to start soon.
