New Rider, CBR125 feels unsteady over 80kms/hr
I'm going to have to watch for other riders doing the chicken dance now!! LOL
I've been really working on my posture while I'm riding at the higher speeds on the country roads and that's helped a lot! Thanks so much everyone! But I was still noticing the bike just feels every little bump in the road and the wind just tosses it around.
So I have news!!! I sold my lil bike Thursday night. I was kinda sad to see her go, but she's going to a 16 year old kid whose eyes were lit up like Christmas when I dropped it off to him. I know he's super excited and it will be a great small bike for him to learn on.
That means... you guessed it... I'm getting a shiny new black and silver CBR 250RA!!! I went into Honda yesterday and worked out the financing. They're going to lower it for me which will take a few days considering it's Canada Day long weekend here. But hopefully I'll have it by the end of next week. I'm so excited! And bored now cause til then I have no bike LOL. But you can bet I'll be on here looking for advice on how to transition to a new and bigger bike smoothly.
I'll post up some pics as soon as I can

Ask the dealer if they can adjust the suspension for your weight, especially if they lower it. The suspension prolly is nowhere near set for you if they have to lower it (5' 1"? Or shorter
). The suspension will be set way too stiff. Yolie's default settings are for a guy 40lbs heavier than me. And she'd try and buck me out the seat on a hard bump.

It was a 125. They're lightweight thumpers that move around and rattle. It's what they do.
You should try a dual sport (or a dirt bike on the streets). Even higher center of gravity and knobby tires make it fun at speed, especially with wind and rain.
Like anything, though, you get used to it.

Thanks Kuroshio! I asked them to set the suspension for me and they had already done it. Yes 5'1 - I keep a step stool in my kitchen so I can reach the top cupboards! LOL
Kilgortrout I don't think I could swing my leg over dual sport! lol But it would be fun to see it.
Too late anyways, I brought home my new baby tonight! I'm SO happy I moved up. What a difference! It handles way nicer than the 125, zips around turns, and it's rock solid at higher speeds. I think I'm in love
I've had a huge goofy grin on my face all night. Just too bad it started raining and I had to call it a night.
