When is it Overkill with gears?
Is there such a thing as too much gears? During my twenties, jeans & a T-shirt was stupid of me...later on I learn the importance of gears...so I start investing in gears...but is there such a thing as overkill..meaning too much gear that affects your ability to ride safely...and hurt your wallet?
I've tried MotoX boot for street bike, that's a no no...I've tried a loosed fit armor jacket...no good for windy days...
I see threads about all the goods about gears...but not one saying anything bad about them. So when is it overkill...
IMO: gears must be used properly with correct fitment...if helmet don't fit snugly, try turning your head going 80mph+...no funny...it's dangerous.

No such thing... Where and when I ride, it's pretty cold early in the morning, as the temp before 5am on my commute can be well under 10c and really moist/foggy. When I drive off from work it can be 25-30c so a detachable lining in your jacket is a must (tried without last summer, the jacket is killing me in the daytime and the sweat-soaked lining don't warm in the morning). Although I wondered If I want to rip the inner jacket off every day and thought would it be good to buy another lighter jacket into the backbox...
One time I wanted to ride my friend HD so bad but I did not bring my helmet, so I wear his...I'm a large, he claim his is a med but feels like a small..15min into the ride...OMG, my head was in pain, hurt like crazy...kinda like a bad **** headache, something squeezing your head...that's overkill..don't fit, don't ride...
