Spine Protectors?
very important to have one.
look for material, testing and fit...pretty much in that order.
some say they are CE Level X certified and what not, but may not truly be because the testing is very bling. so basically, they use the exact same materials as a bigger manufacturer and then say their stuff is CE :Level blah blah blah approved based on the resultsof the larger manufacturer.
businesswise this is immoral...but as a consumer...it's much cheaper...and if it has the same material then you should see the same results.

I picked up a great deal on one of the websites on a closeout Tecnic. Can't recall the model. It's a standalone. When I put it on after a few minutes, I forget I have it on. It stays out of the way.
i prefer the inserts...but it's hard to find them in the hard style...i have a semi hard one in my jacket right now that i use for riding around town...when i do track of canyons...i use the stand alone...much better protection.
