Scorpion Exo-1000 helmet IS OUT NOW!
I went on the occasional bike ride to my local dealership to price check some parts, and i was planning on getting a scorpion helmet anyways so i looked at some, and the EXO-1000 was actually there!
These are the top scorpion helmet and were rumored to come out in late october/november.
They are pretty sweet, the padding inside is very similar to the exo-700, but it has way more adjustable vents. One by the mouth, eye brow, and 2 in the forhead area. I didnt mention the stationary vents by the jaw area and i think there are more above the ear area. Its a sick helmet.
The retractable visor was neat. the lever is just under the left side where the main visor clicks in. The retractable visor didnt quite go as low as i expected. There is about a 2 cm gap between where the retracable visor comes down and where the nose guard is. It seemed like anything youre looking at between (and just above) that gap would be skewed in vision. But if you're not looking too low, its awesome, a truely unique design. I was playing with just the visor for like 10 minutes. having 2 visors is odd, when you lift the the bigger outter visor, and leave the retractable one, its like "hey..i thought i just liften my visor up!" It would take some getting used to, but its really neat. It doesnt feel like a light air bubble cushion like my shoei feels. It feels like more of an actual helmet. But For about 320, this helmet is way worth it!
