riding gear for summer

RE: riding gear for summer
Cortech HRX Mesh Jacket:
It's got GP Hard Armor, Leather in the important spots (lower arms, etc). Great ventilation, zip in waterproof liner, separate zip in quilted liner. Full zipper for pants.
I also use the HRX pants which zip together to make a full suit. It actually ends up being a leather/mesh hybrid because the pants have a lot of leather. They too have hard armor in the knees, and soft armor on the hips. It comes with velcro for knee sliders. A great alternative to jeans. And since they come with the same liners as the jacket you have a all-season suit.

RE: riding gear for summer
The only problem I had with the HRX gear was getting the right fit. All my other gear was leather. So I had a hard time with the looser fit of the mesh stuff. The loose fit is kid of mandatory since you have liners that zip in.
As soon as the temp is low enough I go back to perforated leather.
The other wierd thing I found what that I need to zip the pants OVER my sidi's. If I don't then when my knee touches down, they ride up about 1/2". Then the next time I touch down I burn the velcro on the slider. I zipped them over my boots, now it's all good, they can't go anywhere. I guess it's for the best anyway because if I use these in the rain I am going to need to zip them over my boots anyway. It just makes it so you can't see the pretty carbon fiber shin plate on the sidi's.
