The beginning of summer and I'm done riding already
I broke my foot playing basketball yesterday. The left one too. I can't shift a bike and I can't engage an automobile clutch. My brother is bringing me his automatic GMC Jimmy. And I'm letting him take the bike home. Atleast it will be used this year.
The doctor says that the place it's fractured is a bad place for circlulation and it may not heal well. They put it in some self hardening wrap while I wait to get in to see the foot doctor. I don't have insurance, but I'm not worried about the bills. Wednesday I got take a test for AT@T to become an installer. They sent me some practice tests and I swear that monkeys could pass them. So all I had to prove is that I'm not retarted. This really couldn't have happened at a worse time.
cliffnotes: White people shouldn't play basketball. LOL
The foot doctor tells me that I can walk on it and it will be healed up %100 in about six weeks! WOOOHOOOOO, a riding imma go!

I'm sure trying. I have it elevated even when I'm sleeping. I even gave up drinking. I'm still new to this forum, so most of you won't understand how big of a deal that is for me. I love the sauce!

Sorry to hear about your foot, if all goes well, maybe you'll riding in about 8 weeks? Right? good luck.
if you got the dough yami fjr has electronic shift option .. but if your foots broken you're probably better off staying away from bikes until it fully heals since you'd still need to put weight on it to hold bike up etc..
it's okay you got plenty of time to ride after it heals.
p.s. seeing as you can probably still play horse in basketball i would've thought the moral of the story would be:

I'm definetely gonna take it easy. This is a very important foot to me. I love to drive automobiles too. My clutches are high performance and require a bit of strength tooperate properly. I knowmy foot doesn'tprovide the strength, but I still needit be solid.
Unless you know someone that works in the lineman field, lemme tell ya about being an installer.
It's a nasty, dirty, filthy job quite often. Piece of **** trashy people who can't pay their bills borrow money to get their phone back on and you get to go to the skanks house and crawl around in her basement or her ****ty floor (literally dog ****, cat ****, etc.). Not to mention that you're gonna sweat ***** in the summer. That in itself isn't bad, I don't mind it. It's when you have to go back inside when you're finished dripping with sweat and now you get to sit there for a few doing paperwork. And that's the first job of the morning... you've still got 6 or more to go!
On the other hand they do pay well but money can kiss my ***. I'm a bit of a snot when it comes to work. I know what I'm worth and I know what I'm capable of. I lasted 7 months in te field before I said **** it - not worth it to me. And then there are guys that can't get enough of it... maybe you're one of them!
Sorry to hear about the foot man, sucks. The way I look at it, if I'm going to be out of commission from an injury I want at least a cool scar somewhere somewhat visable...
What the hell did I just say... I didn't mean it!!!

I was at my buddies housewho told me they were hiring. He also works at ATT as a customer service rep. He was getting Uverse television installed. All the guy had to do was splice the cable from the basement and run it to his bedroom (the only room that didn't have an outlet. It took him 5 hours! After he finished up he went out to his company supplied truck and slacked off for another hour! I asked my buddy if he would go do another install and get a little overtime or if he would just slack off for a couple more hours until his shift was up. My buddy said that he would just slack off for a couple more hours. I understand why they are hiring.
I know it can get dirty, but it really sounds like ATT takes care of their employees. They pay hourly, have great benifits, and allow them to get away with taking their sweet *** time! They also offer up to 6 weeks of paid training. As long as you are mechanically enclined you can do this job.
I was really excited about this opportunity. That's what I'm most upset about possibly missing out on.
