Default Summer Riding Gear??

I've been riding in my new full leather jacket, etc. Joe Rocket.

It's HOT at times already here in the south. What you guys doing about summer riding gear to stay more cool?

Also, I've got some nice race/street type riding boots coming, but wondering what you guys wear for the short - grab it & head for a store ride & you really don't want to "suit up" fully?

Thanks,

Icon tarmac jacket and Icon pursuit gloves Helmet unless I'm just going down the block but rarley leave without them, Tarmac jacket is just mesh that holds tha pads on you and keeps the sun off your skin.

The Joe Rocket Super Ego is a full leather, but has the optional front and back zipoffs to reveal mesh for summer riding, check it out, but you already said you just bought a JR jacket, so its maybe not the right thing to suggest. Ive heard Textile jackets are good in the summer, just dont hold up as well as the leather if you were to go down.

I live in Florida and have found the best jacket I think. The Icon Timax 2 is great. good protection and it lets a ton of air in when you remove the liner. Give it a try I think you will love it.

It's better to sweat than to bleed. It was almost 90 here today and I still wore full leathers. You can always take a shower [8D]

i second the Icon Tarmac, in texas right now its mid 80s, and no cooling down in sight. The tarmac is plenty ventilated, and my roomate has the Icon TiMax mesh (the first gen.) and he loves it.

i have the alpinestar t-stunt airflo textile jacket....although the only other jacket i have to compare it to would be my leather alpinestar stage jacket. the textile one that i have provides way more air than my leather....but still gets hot when i'm not moving (i.e.- at a stop light....). i wish you could ride with the jackets first before you buy.
