MY First Leather
Hello boys and girls. I brought my first bike last season and its a 99 honda CBR 900rr. I brought a mesh joe rocket jacket. Then everyone started to tell me stories about how if you fall the mesh will melt etc. So this season i am getting a leather. I looked at icon but they were kind of expensive and people on here really didnt give them a good grade. So i been looking at shift racing. here is a ebay link to the jacket i was looking for. will this be good enough? i do alot of highway riding.

Good jackets but they don't offer much for ventilation. I have an Icon and love it. The only reason it gets a bad rap is because they aren't designed for track use but for highway riding they are great jackets.
well it says it has the perforated leather. I have just made up my mind i will be hot and probably will just be wearing a tank top or thin t shirt under the leather. but are they good jackets? thats my main concern
My girl has the women's version of the M1, got a hell of a deal on it. Anyway, this jacket really impressed me. The armor in the shoulders and elbows are really good, but the back armor is nothing more than a foam pad. The quilty of the jacket is really good too.
Last year when I was looking for a new jacket, I would have went with Shift, but they didn't have any red ones that I liked. The one I liked was the Shift SR-1, but there wasn't a red one. Now this year they have a red one and now they have one called Vendetta that I like. So, last year I ended up getting an Alpinestars Dyno jacket and love it.
