Default Leather vs. textile

as far as protection from road rash. Does textile hold up pretty well. I just got my first sportbike and I need a jacket, but have no idea where to start. Thanks, Mark

GOOD advice!!! Look on ebay. Lots of sellers getting rid of old A'STARSgear pretty cheap. I swear by them.
