I love my shoei rf-1000 but I would like to share a story with you about shoei. My very first bike was a 1982 nighthawk 650 that I bought in 1988 androde the crap out of for two years. Sold it to my best friend and I had a shoei that i let him use.At the time Cali had no helmet law. Him and a friend went for a morning ride and the other guy had a helmet so he decided to wear it even tho he didn't like wearing it. They finished thier ride and he was on his way to my house when at 65 mph coming around a blind corner some stupid bitch in a bronco pulled out and stopped when she saw himblocking both lanes. He highsided and flipped end over end just barely missing her vehicle. He went face first and the shoei allthough severly damaged did not crack and it saved his life. His right hand however was torn to **** but he walked away.
