Default So how do you like your Shoei???

Ok so I have an HJC that I bought last April when I got my bike and the vents are falling off the lower part of the bike and its noiser than heck. Anyways my wife says its ok to "upgrade" So Im looking at a Shoei RF1000. Are they that much quiter, I tried em on and they are lighter. I dont wanna go much more in price than those. Opinions would be great thanks.

I absolutely love my RF1000; most importantly the vents actually work, you can fell the flow around you chin and over your head. Very important considering the temps I ride in daily here in AZ. Quality is excellent, I have several Shoei's and have never had any problems with them at all. Definitely worth the extra dollars.

ps...almost forgot the quieter part; this is tough as I haven't owned anything but Shoei....IMO, the are pretty quiet, definitely not silent but the RF1000 is better than the old RF800 I had before it.

dude i had an hjc!!! then i bought a shoei rf-1000!! im the man to talk to hahah

first thing i noticed after i got my 1000 was the wheight, omg its like half. the hjc use to bring this screaming sound in my hears and such, it was so annoying. that problem is gone with the 1000. and cooling, is very nice as well.

Started out with a Rf1000(diabolical 2) and loved it, but i crashed and had to buy a new one. During the time i had between helmets i wore some ****tier helmet(forget which brand) there is a HUGE difference. the road noise at 10mph on an older one is equivilant to a 100mph w/ a shoei (That's not an exaggeration) Head checks and all can be made with out it flying up on your face etc. You absolutely will not regret buying a rf1000.

I love my Shoei RF1000. Although i just found out the Arai RX-7 fits me personally better. The Shoei RF1000 has great ventilation (needed for Florida riding!) so i like it alot. Arai RC-7 Hayden is my next helmet though, fits better.
