I ride in jeans too (although I have some leather riding pants on backorder). I use the Alpinestars knee/shin protectors.

I haven't tried on the icon field armor that you're looking at but I will say that it looks slimmer and easier to fit under jeans. The alpinestars ones feel secure and are a lot cheaper at only $25. They are light and allow decent airflow. The knee cup is a lot wider than necessary though so they can be a little bulky. Never crash tested them thank God but the first week I wore them a dog that I was trying to pass latched onto one. LOL, bet Alpinestars never tested that.

Sportbiketrackgear.com has a decent video review on these. Hope it helps.

I've got a pair. The only problem I have with them is they tend to slide down your leg after riding awhile. i have to pull them back up over my knee every once and awhile.

Just ordered them, RE the sliding down, from what ive read if your wearing boots ( i wear SMX-4 AStars, it isnt nearly an issue vs shoes or 3/4 boots.

After looking at the Icon field armor leg they seem pretty good. However I wonder how important shin guard are.

Ichlgo they look good as well, but also look a tad bit bulky? and im sure the knee area is more important than shins, but def doesnt hurt having prot there as well imo.
