What kind of hook up can you get with the scorpion helmets on this site...https://www.riverwayracing.com/store/home.php?cat=4
why do you ask? or are you just informing me to look at the Scorpion helmets? according to there site top of line one EXO-1000 is $349.95 w free shipping, guess there would be tax, and im not sure they ship to CND?
thx though

The list price on the site is the MAP price which is the lowest I can advertise online....This is the same with many other manufacturers...they dont allow dealers to advertise anything other than a set price.

I can however sell it for whatever price I want, I just cant advertise it.

There is also NO TAX applied unless you live in the state I do business in which is Iowa.

I currently do not ship to Canada but could look into it if you were interested.

Thanks.

I have 2 lids. First one is a HJC CL15 dragon and it's nice, but on the heavy side and big looking. It was $140ish from my dealer.

Second and the one I use the most now is the Z1R Strike Blade-very light, comfortable and was on sale from www.motorcycle-superstore.com for $49.99. It's rated one of the safest lids out there and looks and feel great.

The lining for the HJC is better made, but over all the Z1R is my Fav.

Yes, I saw the Competition Accessories sale price about an hour after I bought one from Extreme Supply on Sunday night...but it's okay, I only lost about $15 and actually I still haven't gotten an email saying they have shipped it--so I may get to order from CompAcc anyway.

And you may have to go with the Arai if CompAcc ships to Canada--all they have left in the X-11 Rainey is Large and X-Large--exactly the same as Extreme.

Good find on the Quantum--outstanding deal. What fun this is!

Yep going w Arai, just trying to find outwhat the deal is w duty etc shipping to Canada? i actually spoke with a James yesterday from Compacc, very friendly service! once i find out the duty brokerage fee thing im going to get the Arai for sure, he told me they have lots so no worry there. Btw does anyone know when this Aria came out? is it a few years old, model wise? just curious, and finally i know Arais rep is second to none, but the whole round oval fit, is that a concern? what im trying to say is, are they more for "round" heads lol

From Arai web site, guess i found my answer

"Once again, the Study showed that riders rank helmet comfort and fit as the greatest influence on their helmet-purchase decision. This is particularly meaningful to Arai. Our efforts in attaining the utmost comfort and fit humanly possible has been called something of an “obsession,” one that’s endured for over five decades of helmet research, innovation and experience.
For example, Arai was first to introduce removable, replaceable cheekpads of different thicknesses for a more custom fit – one of numerous Arai innovations now copied by other helmet makers. Arai also introduced the concept of different interior-shape packages “instead of trying to cram a world of different head shapes into a single helmet shape. That's just one of the differences between a $600 helmet and a $200 helmet. Currently, Arai offers three different interior fit packages: Long Oval (LO) for heads longer front to back and narrower side to side; Round Oval (RO) for head shapes more equal front to back and side to side; and Intermediate Oval (IO).
The bottom line is this: almost every helmet maker says they’re best. But for nine consecutive years, only Arai has been voted best by helmet customers."

So from what Can Customs tells me, if its a North American product its duty free, i will however have to pay cnd taxes GST and PST which is $ 53.06. Just for fun i called local dealer for price on, $679, or "best" he could do is maybe $599, plus tax $682.86 !! think ill take my $432

BTW if anyone has a pic of the Quantum II TRed, back picture can you post? dont know what the back looks like lol

erm...well, maybe I won't be so quick to recommend a vendor based only on price and apparent availability. To be fair, I got it for less than their cost (according to them, though still not the ultimate lowest online), and free shipping is free shipping--but five business days until notice of shipment just kisses the boundary of uncomfortable for me.

Maybe I've been spoiled with sellers who advertise 1-2 days until Brown gets a hold of it--but I mean, dammit, you wait all week, racing home to check if it came...aargh, another 4-6 business days USPS [&o]

My faves on price, communication, and quick shipping are few:

http://www.newenough.com/

http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/

http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/

Newenough gets the nod for all the right reasons but it's the in-house pictures they take of most all the gear that really puts them over the top...that, and the supremely helpful sizing comments.
