Those are almost military. When you are riding wouldn't you like something a little more flexible? they look like great protection.

 

I have been on a ton of EMS calls with those things and with the abuse they have taken, they are rather flexsible. I do need to get the leather restitched behind the heel of one foot cuz it finally split at the seem. But I will get that fixed before this season
