Always wear good protective boots when riding. You don't pick when you're going to hit the pavement. Oxtars TCS Evo's and Alpinestars Supertechs are both great choices. Here's a pair of Oxtars I did the big slide in. If I'd been wearing tennis shoes, I would have lost a couple toes.

Yes, those are pretty cool boots. I bought those in Engand.
Alpinestars never brought the "Nicky Hayden" replica boots over to the States.
